As its name suggests.spring break is a normal break from school in spring. The weather finally turned sunny after three cloudy and rainy days in spring break. The sun was shinning so warmly and brightly. The bird flied up in the sky singing beautifully. After breakfast and work,mOB suggested going out for a field trip after so many stormy days.Dadand I agreed. It took us half an hour to drive to a large lake named“McBride”.We drove through the large natural forest which was full of big tall trees and eventually arrived at the beautiful lake.I got off thecar and quickly ran on the dam lying in the middle of the big lake piledby those big rocks. To my surprise, the water in the lake was so blue, sopure just like the one permeated in diamond. There was no one on the dam except us.Colorful houses and buildings were located at the bound of the lake far away from us.The scenery was magnificent.Tall treess tood straight around the lake. The lake was so quiet.I tried to get closer with the lake and got down the dam carefidly. The water was soclear.Bunches of fish and big rocks emerged clearly toward us.It was just like a big mirror made by a wonderful crystal.I threw the small stones into the water like my father did, which was considered as agame or competition between players. We tried to make the ripple caused by the jumping stone as much as we couht. My father Was a vet-eran.I got lost in the game and my father was inevitably the winner.Even so,I laughed a lot and felt happy. The air was clear, too. The wind was gentle and Warm.We decided to walk around the lake.
It was a long way.The narrow road we were walking serpentines through the forest. It was wriggly. Many tall trees fell down into the wa-ter and no one gardens it.At the beginning.I ascribed all these untidi-ness to the irresponsibility of the lake workers.but dad told me that it was good for the tree to live without the intervention of human beings and it was smart for people here to make the trees live ecologically-e-merge of itself and perish of itself. It was more natural and better for whatever the trees or environment. That is.the nature would always manage to circulate in a balanced whole. As we walked along the lake.a man sitting in a small boat at the middle of the lake waved to us,and we waved back.People here in Iowa were always friendly.People of tengreeted in the street even they did not know about each other before. The man was sitting quietly holding a long rod.American people own aboat themselves sometimes. They often carry boats with them so that they COuld boat and fish when going to lakes.
Around eleven,we decided to go back.Along the original path,we were surprised to find a beach not distant away from the lake. The beach was fascinating. The sand is soft shining sparklingly under the sun.Walking barefoot on beach,I found a flock of lovely gooses. In fact,it is extremely common to see wild ducks and gooses even snakes near water. We left the beach soon and made our way back.
It I had another opportunity,I would like to go there again !
